Good News...

God has a plan for each one of us. He created us for a reason.  He wants to be with us and He wants each one of us to have a meaningful and abundant life here and eternal life with Him in Heaven.

John 10:10 - “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Even though God made us to love Him and to be with Him, He does not force us to do so.  God allows us to make our own choices. The problem is that we have chosen to disobey God.  This causes us to be separated from the very One who loves us the most, from the very One who made us to be with Him.

Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 6:23 - “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Jesus Christ willingly gave His life on the cross, was buried in a tomb and rose again after three days.  He did this to pay the price for the sins of every man, woman, boy, and girl who lives, who has ever lived, and who will ever live.  Jesus did this for us because of God’s love for us.

John 14:6 - “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Romans 5:8 - “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Through Jesus Christ we can know that we will live with God for eternity!  Because of His mercy we no longer have to be separated from God. and through His grace we can receive forgiveness for our sins.

Romans 10:9 - “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

John 1:12 - “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

The gift of Salvation cost God’s only Son, Jesus Christ, His life!  The cost of Salvation to us? Nothing.  It is a free gift offered to each of us by God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Here are four easy steps to accepting this free gift of eternal life:

  1. Admit that you need God - “I am a sinner”

  2. Be willing to turn from your sin - “I repent of my sins”

  3. Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid for your sins by dying for you on the cross and rising again on the third day - “I believe in Jesus Christ and what He did for me”

  4. Ask Jesus Christ to save you and to control your life through the power of the Holy Spirit - “I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior”

What is your choice?  Will you pray to receive Christ and His gift of abundant and eternal life? You can pray something like this:

God, I know that because of my sin I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I believe He rose again so I could live with You.   I want to stop living for myself and start living for You.  I want Your peace in my life.  I want forgiveness for my sins.  Please come into my life and change me. I want to live with You forever.  I want You to be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, amen.

If you prayed this prayer to accept Christ and His free gift of salvation, please let us know! We want to help you and guide you as you start your new life as a child of God.
